Static contact card

vCard QR code generator. One scan saves the contact.

Fill in a name, number, and email. The vCard QR code writes a real contact card into the pattern so a phone can save you without opening a profile page.

What gets saved

What a vCard QR code puts on the phone

A vCard QR code holds a small contact file — the same idea as a .vcf attachment. The pattern includes a name plus any phone, email, company, title, website, or address you add. When someone scans it, the phone offers to create a contact with those fields already filled.

Nothing is looked up on our servers. The scanner does not need internet, and the card does not expire because we turned a service off. The trade-off is honesty: if your number changes, this static vCard QR code cannot follow you. Print a new card, or point a dynamic code on the homepage at a page you control.

Typed contact

People photograph the card and never type the number in.

vCard QR code

Save Contact appears with the fields already in the right places.

What the phone does with the scan

1

The camera reads vCard text

BEGIN:VCARD / VERSION:3.0 / N and FN / TEL / EMAIL / END:VCARD.

2

The contacts app offers to save

No QRDynamic page opens. The payload is the contact.

3

You are in their address book

They can call or email without keeping the paper card.

Card or link

vCard QR code vs a dynamic business-card link

Use a vCard QR code when the details rarely change. Use a dynamic code when the card should open a live page you can rewrite.

Built for cards and badges

Keep the contact card small enough to scan.

Extra fields make a denser pattern. Fill what people will actually save, then test both iPhone and Android before you send the file to the printer.

Real vCard 3.0

Name, phone, email, company, title, website, and address use the same format phones already import.

Stays on this device

Contact fields are encoded in the browser. We do not upload a copy of your address book.

Quiet enough for a card

Leave optional fields empty if the square gets too dense for a 2 cm print.

PNG now, SVG when you pay

PNG is free for proofs. SVG on Pro and Lifetime for the print shop.

Industrial Scanning Precision

Engineered with robust error correction for damaged surfaces

Printed barcodes in restaurants, factories, and outdoor billboards face grease stains, direct sunlight glare, scratches, and folded corners. QRDynamic generates codes using optimized Reed-Solomon error correction algorithms.

Because our redirect URLs are concise, the data density remains minimal. This leaves ample room for error correction symbols, allowing modern smartphones to decode the image even if up to 25% of the printed area is smudged, torn, or partially obscured.

Reed-Solomon Resilience

Self-healing mathematical algorithms restore obscured data modules on wrinkled flyers and scratched acrylic signs.

Ultra-Fast Focus

Lower grid dot counts let standard smartphone cameras lock focus and decode the target in a fraction of a second.

Vector Quality Rendering

Sharp, crisp block edges eliminate pixel fuzziness on large-format offset printing presses and thermal labelers.

Privacy & Compliance

Zero invasive tracking cookies. All visitor telemetry is strictly anonymized and compliant with international privacy rules.

Quick start workflow

How to create a vCard QR code

Name first. Everything else is optional.

Step 1

Add a first name or a company

The generator needs something to put in the display name. A last name alone is optional.

Step 2

Add the phone and email people will use

International format for the phone (+ and country code). One website is enough.

Step 3

Skip fields you do not need

A birthday and a full street address make the code busier. Empty fields are omitted from the payload.

Step 4

Scan a test print on both platforms

iPhone and Android contact apps are not identical. Check that Save Contact shows the right number.

Commercial deployment

Where a vCard QR code belongs

Paper still matters. The code just removes the typing.

Business card

Name, mobile, email on the back

Keep the card design clean. The vCard QR code carries the fields so nobody has to pinch-zoom your 8-point type.

Input: Name, mobile, work email
Output: Static vCard QR code
Key Benefit: Saved contact, not a blurry photo

Live Workshop

Bread at Home

Saturday, 10 AM – 2 PM

Hands-on sourdough session for home bakers.

40 seats left

Event badge

Badge that saves the organiser

Print the code on staff badges at a trade stand. Visitors save the booth contact without taking a brochure.

Input: Booth phone + company
Output: Badge vCard QR code
Key Benefit: Follow-up without the stack of cards

Email footer

A square next to the signature

Some clients still print emails. A small vCard QR code in the footer survives that trip to the tray.

Input: The same fields as the card
Output: PNG for the signature
Key Benefit: One source for card and email

Print optimization checklist

Best practices for printing editable barcodes

Before sending thousands of copies to the printer, follow these proven guidelines to guarantee rapid, error-free camera scanning across every device.

1. Respect Minimum Sizes

Never print smaller than 20 x 20 mm (0.8 x 0.8 inches). For signs viewed from 2 meters away, ensure the graphic is at least 20 cm wide.

2. Maintain High Contrast

Always print dark modules against an opaque, light background. Avoid dark-on-dark or low-contrast pastels that confuse phone camera sensors.

3. Keep the Quiet Zone Clean

Leave a solid white margin of at least 4 modules width around the entire pattern boundary. Do not crowd the code with text or graphics.

4. Test With Real Devices

Test printed proofs with both iOS and Android default camera apps under bright and dim ambient lighting before initiating mass production.

Frequently asked questions

vCard QR code questions

What gets saved, what stays on this device, and when to reprint.

Is the vCard QR code generator free?+

Yes. You can build and download a static vCard QR code without an account. PNG is free. SVG is on paid plans. We do not put a watermark on the download.

Do people need internet to save the contact?+

No. The contact is inside the pattern. The phone reads it and offers to save. They do not open QRDynamic and they do not need a signal at the venue.

What if I change jobs or phone numbers?+

This static vCard QR code cannot be edited after you download it. Print a new card, or use a dynamic code on the homepage that points at a page you update when the number changes.

Which fields should I include?+

First name, mobile, email, company, and title are the ones people actually keep. A website is useful. A full postal address is optional and makes a denser code — skip it on a small business card.

Can I import a .vcf file?+

Not on this page. Copy the values into the fields. The preview shows what will be encoded so you can check the name and number before you print.

Will iPhone and Android both save it?+

Both understand vCard 3.0. Layouts differ. Test a real scan on each before you order 500 cards. If a field looks wrong, it is usually a dense print or a missing country code, not the format.

Are my contact details uploaded?+

No. The vCard is assembled in your browser. Closing the tab leaves nothing on our side. Dynamic codes on the homepage are different: those store a destination URL after you sign in.

How small can I print it?+

Stay at or above 2 cm on a card you hand over. Leave a white quiet zone. Dark modules on a light card stock. Test the printed proof, not only the screen preview.

Put a contact on the card, not a homework assignment.

Create the vCard QR code here, scan it onto your own phone, then send the PNG or SVG to the printer.
