What this QR code generator puts in the square

A static QR code stores the content in the image: a URL, a line of text, a mailto address, or a phone number. Once you download it, the file does not call QRDynamic. It will still scan if this website is down. That is the point of a free QR code generator for links you do not plan to change.

This page is not Canva and it is not a scanner. It will not recover a password from a photo of someone else’s code. Bulk CSV and API sit elsewhere. If the printed URL will change — a menu, a campaign, a card you refuse to reprint — use the dynamic switch on the generator or go to the homepage.

Static QR code

Content is baked into the pixels. Free, no account, no expiry.

Dynamic QR code

Short link you can retarget and count. Needs a free account to save.

How the static generator works

1

Pick URL, text, email, or phone

The card formats mailto: and tel: for you so the phone opens the right app.

2

The image is drawn here

Nothing you type is uploaded for a static code.

3

Download PNG

SVG is on paid plans. Test-scan before a print run.

Pick a mode, not a brand

Static QR code generator vs dynamic

Most “free QR code generator” searches want a file that never expires. That is static. Dynamic is the extra control you pay attention to only when print will outlive the URL.

What this generator does

A QR code generator should finish the job on the first screen.

Four static types, a colour row, PNG, and a door into the full designer. WiFi, vCard, and WhatsApp have their own pages because those jobs are not a single text box.

No signup for static

URL, text, email, and phone download without an account. The file does not expire.

Browser-only static payload

We do not receive the link or the phone number you type in static mode.

Dynamic on the same card

Need edit-after-print? Switch modes instead of hunting a second product.

Designer when you want a logo

More design options opens colours, frames, and logo placement.

Industrial Scanning Precision

Engineered with robust error correction for damaged surfaces

Printed barcodes in restaurants, factories, and outdoor billboards face grease stains, direct sunlight glare, scratches, and folded corners. QRDynamic generates codes using optimized Reed-Solomon error correction algorithms.

Because our redirect URLs are concise, the data density remains minimal. This leaves ample room for error correction symbols, allowing modern smartphones to decode the image even if up to 25% of the printed area is smudged, torn, or partially obscured.

Reed-Solomon Resilience

Self-healing mathematical algorithms restore obscured data modules on wrinkled flyers and scratched acrylic signs.

Ultra-Fast Focus

Lower grid dot counts let standard smartphone cameras lock focus and decode the target in a fraction of a second.

Vector Quality Rendering

Sharp, crisp block edges eliminate pixel fuzziness on large-format offset printing presses and thermal labelers.

Privacy & Compliance

Zero invasive tracking cookies. All visitor telemetry is strictly anonymized and compliant with international privacy rules.

Quick start workflow

How to create a QR code

Paste, glance at the preview, download. Then scan it yourself.

Step 1

Choose the type

URL for a website, text for a note, email for a mailto draft, phone for a tap-to-call square.

Step 2

Paste the content

A URL without https:// gets https:// added. Email and phone get mailto: and tel:.

Step 3

Check the preview

If the square looks too dense, shorten the URL. Tracking query strings make a noisier code.

Step 4

Download and test-scan

PNG is free. Print a proof. If you already know the link will change, switch to dynamic before you print.

Poster that opens the page

A static URL code is enough when the page will not move. If the campaign URL will rotate, use dynamic instead.

Input: https://your-site.com/offer
Output: Static URL QR code
Key Benefit: Works even if this generator is offline

Short text belongs in a static code. Long terms and conditions belong on a page behind a URL.

Print optimization checklist

Best practices for printing editable barcodes

Before sending thousands of copies to the printer, follow these proven guidelines to guarantee rapid, error-free camera scanning across every device.

1. Respect Minimum Sizes

Never print smaller than 20 x 20 mm (0.8 x 0.8 inches). For signs viewed from 2 meters away, ensure the graphic is at least 20 cm wide.

2. Maintain High Contrast

Always print dark modules against an opaque, light background. Avoid dark-on-dark or low-contrast pastels that confuse phone camera sensors.

3. Keep the Quiet Zone Clean

Leave a solid white margin of at least 4 modules width around the entire pattern boundary. Do not crowd the code with text or graphics.

4. Test With Real Devices

Test printed proofs with both iOS and Android default camera apps under bright and dim ambient lighting before initiating mass production.

Frequently asked questions

QR code generator questions

Static versus dynamic, downloads, and what this page will not host.

Is this QR code generator free? Do I need an account?+

Static codes are free and do not need an account. You can create a QR code for a link, text, email, or phone and download PNG here. An account is only required when you save a dynamic code you want to edit later.

Will the QR code expire?+

A static code from this QR code generator does not expire and does not depend on our servers. A dynamic code keeps working while the redirect is active on your plan. Those rules are on the pricing page, not hidden in the download.

Is this the same as Canva or ME-QR?+

No. Canva is a design suite. ME-QR is another generator brand. This page is QRDynamic’s static QR code generator, with a switch into our dynamic redirects when you need them.

Can I make a WiFi, vCard, or WhatsApp code here?+

Use the dedicated pages. Those jobs have several fields and their own mistakes (SSID spaces, country codes, vCard density). This page stays on URL, text, email, and phone.

Do you upload what I type?+

Not for static mode. The content is encoded in the browser. Dynamic mode stores the destination URL after you sign in, because the redirect has to live somewhere.

Can I add a logo or get SVG?+

Yes. More design options under the preview. PNG is free. SVG is on Pro and Lifetime.

Do you have bulk CSV or an API on this page?+

No. This QR code generator is one code at a time. We do not pretend the first screen is a bulk factory.

Why would I switch to dynamic?+

When the printed object will outlive the URL: a menu, a flyer, a card, a pack. Dynamic lets you change the destination and see scan counts without reprinting. If the content is fixed, stay static.

Make the code. Scan it. Then decide if it needs to move later.

Static is the default on this QR code generator. Dynamic is one switch away when print has to stay useful.
